Abstract submission
The scientific committee would like to encourage authors to submit their abstracts. The contribution of abstract presenters is essential, and your input is valued greatly.
Here you will find how to submit your abstract and the guidelines that you need to take into account. Please read them carefully before starting the submission process.

Important Dates
- Abstract Submission Deadline: Tuesday, 31 March, 23:59 CET
- Notification of Review Outcomes: late April
- Presenter Registration Deadline: Friday, 1 May
(The presenting author must be registered for the meeting by this date.)
Submission guidelines & procedure
Submission and Review procedure
- Abstracts can be saved as drafts and edited up to submission. After submission it is not possible to change the abstract.
- Abstracts that are still in draft status after the deadline will not be evaluated and will not be included in the Educational Course program.
- The Scientific Committee will review and evaluate all submitted abstracts according to the purpose and rationale of the study, appropriateness of the method, discussion of the results and the significance of the contribution of the study.
- All accepted abstracts will be published on the ebacourse.org website and in the mobile app.
General Abstract Guidelines
- The presenting author of the abstract must be registered for the meeting before Friday 1 May 2026.
- Abstracts must be written in English.
- All the authors should have significantly contributed to the submitted work.
- No Tables or Figures are allowed in the abstract’s submission phase. Tables and Figures may be presented and included in the Poster Presentation, but they are not allowed in the abstract itself, and they will not be published in the special issue of the EBJ if the abstract is accepted.
- It is the authors’ responsibility to submit abstracts with no errors in spelling or grammar. Abstracts will not be corrected in terms of spelling or grammar prior to publication.
- Please, be aware that all the declarations (including data, affiliations, content of the work submitted, ethical approval, consents obtained, and disclosure of interest) are under the direct and unique responsibility of the authors.

Poster Prize
Successful abstracts are eligible for the following prizes:
- Free registration for the EBA Educational Course 2028 for one author
- Fee waiver publication of the manuscript developing the presented work (same authors) in the European Burns Journal (EBJ), after completing the peer-review process
Submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the presenting author to present the poster at the time and session assigned by the Scientific Committee. Abstract submitters are therefore advised to register for the Course at the time of submission.
Abstracts will be reviewed by an international panel, and authors will be notified of the outcome by the end of April 2026. For questions, please contact registrations@congresscare.com.
Poster Format
Accepted posters will be asked to produce a poster for display at the Educational Course. Presenters are asked to take note of the following guidelines when producing their poster:
- Maximum poster size is A0 (0.84 x 1.19m)
- Portrait orientation
- Ensure all text is in large font
- Tables and figures may be presented in the Poster
Materials to attach your poster to the poster board will be provided on-site. Removal and collection of posters at the end of the display period remains the responsibility of the presenter. Posters not removed by the indicated take down time will be removed and disposed of.
