Near to all burn centers in Europe had admitted in the last few years burned patients from abroad. Mainly from countries with low level burn care or war zones. Often two to three weeks after the trauma with any surgical treatment beside wound dressings and often colonized and/or infected by multi resistant bacteria.

The patients are a challenge even for high level European burn centers in the few of surgical treatment strategies, infection management, nursing, psycho-social and finally ethical problems.

In a “One-DayTopic” interactive format we will present and discuss all different aspects in the plenum as well as in small workshops.
